timothy's next race is at kentucky, chad is the crew chief but TP wants marcus to join him next season as marcus and setzer are making an attempt at a title this year. the owner of the team has the deepest pockets in danville, va so maybe they can do something....but i doubt it, not in a dodge at least.

the only reason i can think of that they're running dodges is that they're getting notes from bhr.

you are correct licker, they share notes based off the sponsorship setzer recently picked up...kinda like a pay deal, would have been better off teaming up with a toyota team, but i understand the love is there for marcus

what does setzer's sponsor have to do with premier racing? i figured mac just put tahoe on the #18 because mac's a shareholder in bhr & they didn't have a full time sponsor & he just threw some help the #17's way because of timothy. why would setzer getting tahoe on his truck allow bhr to share noteswith premier? is it one of those nascar "alliances?"

that's why mac is a shareholder, common link between the 2. TP left on bad terms with BHR and Dodge, not BH himself but the people that run the company(his wife).

i knew dodge was pissed but i thought bhr was ok with him going to rcr.

BH was the only one who was cool with TP going to RCR, matter of fact BH said if he was given the opportunity himself, he'd go and leave his own truck team to pursue the 21 ride. he told TP he had to take it, BH was a helluva guy. the bad blood comes from TP not getting money from dodge or BHR, but TP wouldn't work for them anymore so not sure why he was pissed. they wanted him to be a spotter after dodge took him out the ride and he refused. if your not an employee, no reason for BHR to pay...that's the way i see it. BUT, that's just one side of the story, could be more to it that i don't know.

either way, i wish the best to my boys moving forward with their careers.

it sounds like tp had a contract to drive so many races for dodge & a contract with bhr as an employee. when he announced he was going to rcr the next year, dodge benched him. dodge broke their contract & should have paid him. i obviously don't what bhr's contract was for but they tried to keep him on as an employee even though he couldn't drive but tp didn't want anything to do with it so it sounds like he may have broken the contract with bhr, so no money.

but we all know what a nascar contract is... worthless.

marcus' out for next year?

Setzer to Randy Moss Motorsports in '09? During the final practice session broadcast, Ray Dunlap reported that Randy Moss Motorsports will most likely be a two truck team in 2009 with one veteran driver and one rookie. Dennis Setzer is rumored to be heading the list of veteran candidates for the ride. Setzer is currently on a one-year contract with BHR-VA.(7-18-2008)

i'm not confident in that happening, but right now that is the likely scenario...of course money talks in racing and anything can happen at anytime, so i wouldn't count chickens before they hatch., but that's the most likely scenario.
