it's going to be tough to beat how great that truck race was last night...TP even impressed me, hardest i've seen the kid drive in years
maybe, just maybe, biffle won't get in a wreck for the 18th time this week

I am currently "between" houses, and therefore cabless. So, for the first time, I listened to the entire race on MRN (Thanks nascar.com!) It was nice to hear a truck race called that wasn't an extended commercial for Toyota (ala Waltrip.)
I like Allan (hell, he was the stadium annoncer for the Huskers for years.) I like Parsons, but Waltrips constant yammering, really does takwe away from the race.
From here on out, I will watch the races on TV, but listen to the MRN radio cast.
BTW, for the Tim Peters fans out there, sounded like the kid wheeled his ass off last night.

I've tried that but there's a delay that makes it unbearable. (I'm on Directv and it's about a 2-3 second delay.)

Tim's run was great. Way better than I expected for Daytona. He always seemed a little scared to me of the super speedways but showed he's up to it. This finish can only help them.

Well, hell. I have Direct TV as well. I may just listen to MRN. It really was nice not to have the race focus just on Toyta (because of Waltrip.)
I know you have been talking about Peters for a couple of years, sounded like, and reads like, he may becoming sooner rather then later. Going to keep my eyes on him.

timothy has his back up against the wall right now, he has to wheel it or he's done. he's got enough money for him to run these next few races but if they don't get a sponser quick, he's going to lose everything. i think he knows he's basically got to do whatever it takes to keep his head above water...kinda like JC Stout running a few laps just to get money for starting the race. it's going to be a rough next few weeks but i'm hoping for the best for him and Chad. i think switching to Toyota was best for them and that helped bridge the gap to make Timothy competitive friday night. he looked good out there, confidence was definitely riding with him and that's what he has lacked since moving up. i saw him make moves out there that fooled me into thinking that he actually knew what he was doing, like he completely understood the draft and how to manipulate the air to his advantage. hopefully he carries the momentum over into this weekend at california.

If Bodine can't get a sponsor, TP's not going to get one.

i disagree, bodine isn't exactly "sponser material"...he gets alot of bad pub and most of it is well deserved. look at the wreck he caused and it was still early, he just has no track presence. sure, he'll win maybe 4 races, but he'll wreck himself or others in the other 22. PLUS and most important, he's just an ugly bastard. while timothy may not quite be patrick swayze himself, at least he's not todd damn bodine. plus timothy is young while bodine will be making an exit from the sport in the next 5 years.
